What is a Drop Roof?

The Drop Roof System encloses the top of a cold aisle containment structure using temperature-sensitive vinyl that detaches during a fire event. This ensures fire suppression systems can access the interior space. The system is ideal for facilities with complex or fixed ceiling layouts, offering flexibility by allowing containment structures to be added without major building modifications.

The ScaleWRX Drop Panel Roof System is engineered for modern cold-aisle containment, delivering reliable fire-code compliance. The translucent,  emperature-sensitive panels drop away during a fire event, ensuring full penetration of overhead suppression systems. Built with a robust frame-within-a-frame design, the system is pressure-tested to handle significant airflow fluctuations. Panels are fully accessible and removable without tools from the inside of the aisle allowing the fully framed drop tiles to be removed for simplified maintenance. The system can be cabinet-mounted or ceiling-mounted to integrate seamlessly into both new builds and existing facilities with complex ceiling structures.
